Click-to-call on every page
Most trade work is booked by phone, from a phone. Not a contact form, not a button hidden in a menu — a number that dials when tapped, visible on every page. This one decision outperforms most redesigns on its own.
Built to Win Jobs, Not Awards.
Tradesman website design delivered remotely, anywhere in the UK. A trade site has one job: the customer searches, finds you, taps your number. We build fast, mobile-first sites around that moment — live in 2–4 weeks, priced upfront, owned by you. It starts with our free SEO audit — the Visibility Snapshot.
The short version
A good tradesman website is built for the way trade work is actually bought: on a phone, quickly, by someone comparing three local firms. That means click-to-call on every page, one page per service so each real search has somewhere to land, proper pages for the towns you cover, trust signals — accreditations, insurance, real job photos — next to every call button, and load speeds that don't lose the visitor. Design awards don't book jobs; a site that answers the search and makes calling effortless does.
The spec
Six things most template sites get wrong — and every site we build gets right from day one.
Most trade work is booked by phone, from a phone. Not a contact form, not a button hidden in a menu — a number that dials when tapped, visible on every page. This one decision outperforms most redesigns on its own.
A burst pipe is a two-minute panic decision; a new bathroom is a two-week research decision. Trades with both need two conversion paths on one site — urgent searches get the phone number, planned ones get the proof and the quote form.
'Boiler repair', 'fuse box replacement', 'flat roof repair' — real jobs come from specific searches, and a single services page can't rank for any of them. Every service you actually sell gets its own page, written around how people search for it.
Google rewards specificity: a proper page for each town you serve beats one page with a list of postcodes. We build them for the 5–10 areas that matter, not a copy-paste template for fifty.
Gas Safe, NICEIC, FMB, insurance figures, years in the trade, photos of your actual van and your actual work. On every page, next to the call button — not buried on an about page nobody reads.
Around 70% of trade searches happen on a phone, often on a bad connection. We build on Astro — pages load near-instantly, Google's speed tests go green, and the customer is reading your reviews while a competitor's slider is still loading.
From sign-off to live
Week 1
We review your current site, your Google Business Profile, your competitors, and the real searches in your area. You get a written summary of what's costing you jobs and the page plan for the new build.
Weeks 2–3
Fast, properly structured pages on Astro: services, areas, trust signals, click-to-call, schema markup, conversion tracking. Copy written for how your customers search and decide, with photos of your real work — not stock.
Week 4
Site live, sitemap submitted, old URLs redirected so any rankings you'd built carry over. Then it's watched for the first 60 days, and anything Google flags gets fixed.

Common questions
Our packaged rebuild starts at £499 setup plus £99 a month, which covers the build, hosting, and a managed Google Business Profile. A full custom architecture — 20 to 30 service and area pages with ongoing SEO — is £1,495 setup plus £449 a month. Everything is priced upfront before work starts; there are no surprise invoices, and the only outside cost is your domain at £10–£15 a year.
2–4 weeks from sign-off to launch. The bottleneck is rarely the build — it's collecting your service descriptions, your coverage areas, and a few photos of real jobs. Come with those ready and the shorter end of the range is realistic.
You own everything — domain, content, the site itself. There's no platform fee and no lock-in; the monthly fee covers hosting, upkeep, and profile management, and you can walk away with your site at any point. That's the opposite of the template-subscription model where cancelling means your site disappears.
It moves several of the signals at once — speed, structure, service pages, schema, local relevance — and most trades see map pack movement within 60–90 days of a proper relaunch. But the website is one part of roughly fifteen local ranking signals. If you want the rest handled — profile management, reviews, citations, content — that's the SEO side, and it's a separate, month-to-month decision.
No — the build is delivered remotely and works the same for a roofer in Sheffield as a plumber in Surrey. We're London-based; if you trade across London or the Home Counties, the web design for London and the Home Counties page covers the local detail, and there are dedicated pages for each trade.
Our free SEO audit — the Visibility Snapshot — gives you a straight verdict on your current site: how fast it really is on a phone, whether the conversion path works, which service and area pages are missing, how your Google Business Profile compares locally, and what a rebuild would involve. Written report within 24 hours, no call required.
How to start
The Snapshot is a manual review, not an automated scan. We look at your site the way a customer does — on a phone, mid-search, comparing you to two competitors — and tell you what's costing you jobs. Written report within 24 hours.
Free · No call required
Tell me your website and I'll send a written review within 24 hours — what's working, what's costing you jobs, and whether a rebuild is actually worth it.

"I had a site for my 1 man company for years that never really gained much traction so I decided to bring it up to date. Rank Local rebuilt the site and it looks so much better — modern and easier to navigate. I've already been contacted by people from the site so whatever they did, they did it right. Thanks again Dan."
